Notes From the Classroom

Welcome to a new year in high school ELL. It is great for me to be returning and seeing some of my students from last year. We are able to "hit the ground running" since so many relationships and procedures have carried over from last year. Some changes this year include: a new classroom (!), integrating more vocabulary from students core classes in real-time to help with comprehension, and a year-long focus on writing.
As always, students can improve their English by reading at home, listening to English language music and movies, and above all else, being interested in the rules and irregularities that make English work. I am excited to be starting a new school year. Let's learn English!
